I just recently discovered your blog. You guys are living my dream, and finding out that computer skills are needed down there makes me want to be there that much more! I brought my father down there for our first trip last New Years, and we, like many others, fell in love with the place. I would very much like to spend some time with you guys while I’m there again over Christmas until January 16. If you need a good network administration and/or PC troubleshooting resource, I’d move down there in a heartbeat! I know I wouldn’t make the kind of money I make here, but the trade-off in lifestyle would be well worth it! I currently live in cold Calgary, Alberta where the winters go down to -40, and would love the chance to live down there.

I wonder if it would be any easier to “subcontract” to your affiliate organized in the States, and “work” for that entity?

I’m from Chicago too. I have been to Playa 5 times and love it. I wish I could stay for 6 to 8 months just like you. Will be in Playa for New Years.
