We’ve been meaning to capture some of the unique sights and sounds of our neighborhood here in Playa del Carmen for our blog readers. Some we love, some we tolerate (sights and sounds, not blog readers).
There’s the gas truck with its catchy jingle, the occasional barking dogs, the tomcat calling for a mate, the birds singing in the morning. And then there’s the agua guy. We love our agua guy. He’s one of the many reasons we love living in Mexico. We’d tell you all about him, but our friend and neighbor, Sherry, already has in her own blog.
So, please read Drinking the Water in Mexico and enjoy. And we promise … we’ll get back to blogging our own stories again real soon.

Well, Hola John and Libby, Hysterical that you have enjoyed my blog on the WATER GUY. But I guess he is YOUR water guy too! I had to ask him 10 times what his name was and finally had him spell it. Of course his name could not be Juan, Jose, Luis or JOHN… NO, it had to be Hermenegildo. I am so disappointed that I can not get it to roll off my tounge since I see him every day at least twice. I’m practicing his name daily so that soon I can greet him without a hitch in my speech. If you did not already know my water guy secret, you now have the inside scoop on how I stay flush with a water supply! You are welcome to start the coin in the water jug gig as well.
Now, if we could only get we a beer guy on the neighborhood route.

Remind me to tell you the story of one of my sales guys and his Cancun adventure. His whole family got into some tap water. The amazing thing is that he told someone the story!
