I traveled in the Yucatan for 6 months with my two girls 4 and 5 years old. Loved Holbox. My 4 year old dove in and swam with the whale sharks, my 5 year old was a bit more timid. Loved Mohicano, too. He took the girls out on a practice snorkel before the big day. Baby oil works to get rid of the nasty no-seeums or whatever they are called. I miss Holbox and my 6 months in Mexico. Back to the grind now.

Chiquila....try to get to the Island and avoid a night there! We must have stayed in the same room!

Ran into a friend from Progreso, he provided the ice cold cervezas for us.

[...] summer, and had an amazing experience swimming with the whale sharks! John wrote about it on our blog. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking an adventure. For me, driving is part of the adventure. [...]

OMG - you so crazy! Glad you didn't get a close up shot of any of those 300 rows of teeth. Not sure I would be as brave as you two. The most daring I get lately is the Pubroll which I'm told is still happening next month but no date has been set so we'll see.

Cheers mi amigos,

For that much money, I would have stayed at Villa Flamingos further east on the beach. Plus there are a least a dozen posadas in town for half that price. Esmeralda next door to Flamingos is even cheaper.

Willy's is a good choice for the tour. Mohicano is the one who used to have the mohawk. I'm sorry you didn't get him as your guide. He's a good one.
